A Few Words From Eric

Having made and tested numerous designs (both traditional and new), this set proved

the easiest and most comfortable to use with the best fiber results. A standard triangular pitch

tine design could only fully comb the quantity of fiber held by the last row of tines and the front two

outside tines always seemed to suffer the most from catching as well. These combs are designed to

have consistent tine rows for fiber quantity and the outer two front tines moved back for less

"catching of the tines". The hackle has two additional tines in the first and third rows reversing the

pattern of the comb to increase the initial quantity of fiber applied and for proper dizzing.

We also recessed the clamps to prevent another catch for the tines.

These handcrafted fiber tools all feature the following:

*all tines are stainless steel taper ground, polished and satin finished. (The tines are NOT nails!)

*Solid White and Red Oak are used for the woods' hardness and beauty, with Mahogany accents also available (comb back cap or hackle bases only since it is a softer wood).

* The head and handle of the combs are of one piece construction for durability.

*The tines are seated in a double drilled epoxy filled base column within both the combs and the hackles for permanence.

*Each comb and hackle is hand cut, drilled and formed hence, no two will look exactly alike.

PRE-ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS

Pre-ordering Eric's fiber tools is easy! You place your order and Eric will begin making your item

when payment is received. It generally takes about a week (give or take a few days) to make a set or blending hackle. When it's done we'll post pictures to the Fiber Tools on Order page and ship it Priority mail so you get it fast. Please indicate if you would like Mahogany or Oak backing

on your combs and or hackle base. If you would like to purchase more than one item email me with your list so I can combine your shipping and send a revised Pay Pal invoice.
