Yeah, I know there are days (sometimes weeks) when you come across someone who makes life difficult for you and you'd like nothing more than to introduce them to their Maker. Being the sensible individual you are you choose not to go that route and so you pull out the hooks and needles and squeeze your yarn like a stress ball. Bail really is a drain on the money you have for fiber goodies. I understand, honestly I do. The list of people who piss me off grows daily. So, I've created this page to show off your creations. Come on, share your therapy!

Send me a photo of what you made, your first name, state or country you live in, and any info about your creation and I'll post it here to encourage others to take the shells out of the shot gun and pick up their hooks and needles.

knit two at a time on one circular needle using hand dyed superwash merino and the basket weave stitch pattern on the top. These are so big you could use them for Christmas stockings. I'm surprised the man can't walk on water.

Cripes! Like you don't know.

Lost, completely lost....

This is a variation on my simple drawstring bag pattern....basically I just made it a little bigger. I also experimented with intarsia at the top--haven't tried this yet. I didn't pick the best of color combinations to show off the intarsia which turned out to be a good thing. The three flowers in the back look the way a silly putty picture does if you stretch it. This is what I get for knitting and watching TV. Oh well, I still love it!

7/16/09

Me, again

Denial VA

I made this neat little business card holder out of some handspun scraps and put a vintage wooden button on it for a closure. It's very cool!

 7/16/09

Who Else

Denial, VA

Who Else's Cousin

Denial, VA

I really hate using tiny needles and skinny yarn but Jenny at Bare Sheep outdid herself dyeing this yarn. Two of my favorite colors together---purples and greens!! Socks are worked from the toe up (as all of mine are) with a lacey overlapping scale like pattern

 4/26/09

Me

Denial, VA

I love this pattern! It's easy, almost a no brainer. The handspun yarn came out beautifully  and the scarf fits great....of course, now it's to hot to wear it. Craptastic!

Who else?

Denial, VA

Made with Bare Sheep Yarn Company's worsted merino in "Brownie" and "Mtn. Lower". Katie made me the fimo clay button at the top, the others are vintage wooden buttons. The vest is very very soft and LOVE the colors!

3/18/09

Me, again...

Denial, VA

I purchased the hand dyed roving from Melissa at Wild Hare Fiber (link to her Etsy shop on Home page) spun it to fingering weight and  made the scarf using a pattern from Ravelry---The Thrifty Knitter, Woodland Shawl

I strung red glass beads on a brown thread and crocheted this in with the last bit of yarn to put a crocheted edge on the ends of the scarf.

Cripes, as if you don't know

I needed a new pincushion for my sewing table so I made "Wilkins" named after the gentle, funny, and knowledgeable police man who is 10xs smarter than  Inspector Lestrade in the old Sherlock Holmes TV series from the 1950's
